The new sneakers by adidas made with Lego are something we had not seen before. Not only because this time the collaboration between the two brands chose the iconic Superstar model, but also because in support of the new footwear, the Danish brand has decided to create a set to build the first adidas Superstar with Lego bricks, a true display piece that collectors and streetwear lovers will hardly want to miss.

Needless to say, just like the real one, the Lego version includes the iconic graphics of the adidas Originals Superstar sneaker, the shell shape, the trefoil logo, and the serrated three stripes branding. Right or left? It will be possible to buy both to create a pair, perhaps running the risk of wearing them because to make them even more real, real laces are included, and the set comes in an authentic shoe box. As a child of the ’80s, raised in the ’90s, I remember that the Superstar sneaker, with its rich street art culture, was truly an iconic object and remained so even when I had my first pair,” said Florian Müller, Senior Designer at Lego Group. So, when the collaboration with adidas started, I was super excited to work on this model. Since shoes represent very organic objects, made of flexible material that adapts to each individual, it was a fun challenge to translate this into the Lego system, which by its nature is square and blocky. With the adidas Originals Superstar team, a super collaborative process was created, with valuable insights shared on the art of “building” shoes.”

As for the sneaker itself, the adidas Originals Lego Superstar model merges the iconic aesthetic of adidas with the unmistakable Lego bricks. Revisiting its traditional silhouette, the sneaker features the classic white and black leather construction with customized three stripes, shell toe, gold foil inserts, and heel tab.

The Lego Superstar sneaker will be available on July 1st and is available in adult and junior sizes on adidas.com/LEGO and at select retailers. The recommended retail price is 140 euros for adults, starting from 55 euros for children. The Lego shoe model will be available exclusively in Lego stores from July 1st, on www.lego.com/adidas-superstar, at adidas.com, and in adidas stores, while from September 1st, it will also be available at all Lego retailers, at the recommended price of 89.99 euros.
