Wilson Chandler and CryptoKickers Launch a Collection of Virtual Sneakers

Is This Perhaps the Next Future Trend in Sneaker Collecting?

As the market for NFTs (non-fungible tokens) continues to grow, professional basketball player Wilson Chandler has teamed up with the brand CryptoKickers for a completely virtual sneaker collection based on NFT technology.

CryptoKickers and the pro player collaborated to design the Wilson Chandler 1 sneakers, along with creative initiatives to support purchases. The brand has confirmed that there will be several drops with 21 pairs of shoes released onCryptokickers.com at different times in the coming weeks.

The shoes are individually numbered and have an initial price of 0.021 ethereum, one of the few cryptocurrencies, which converts to approximately 44 dollars. Prices will increase for some rarer pairs. CryptoKickers stated that 11% of each item will be donated to the non-profit organization Cool Earth for rainforest conservation

Virtual sneakers are now in the spotlight, with companies like RTFKT Studios selling around 3 million cryptocurrencies in just minutes last month. Is this the future of fashion and collecting? It’s too early to tell, but it’s off to a great start!
