If you are a sneakers addicted, mark this date: May 13th. Why? It is the day when New Balance and Levi’s, two brands that have a lot in common, will make available again, but exclusively for one day, the model NB1300. After the previous sell-out that occurred on April 24th in less than 24 hours, the two brands have decided to dedicate another day to the model that is turning 35 years this year and has been crafted in a special edition with a mix of beige suede and dark indigo-dyed denim White Oak XX52. White Oak Mill was one of the last to produce denim in the USA while the New Balance 1300 is made in Skowhegan, Maine – one of the five New Balance production factories. The combination of the two makes Levi’s x New Balance 1300 the symbol accessory of American culture. The sneakers for spring/summer 2020 feature orange details, including the orange tab Levi’s on the left shoe, an embroidered White Oak label on the shoe’s tongue, and a special tag with the logo Levi’s for feet, inspired by the graphics from the New Balance and Levi’s archives.
“We are excited to bring together two iconic American brands that share the same quality and craftsmanship” – comments Joe Grondin, Collaboration Manager at New Balance – “we are the first footwear brand to use the orange tab Levi’s®, giving fans of the brand a trendy model that comes to life through a unique product story.”
