The most famous swoosh in the world, that of Nike, takes it all. Especially in countries across the ocean, according to a recent study published a few weeks ago by *Forbes*, conducted by Matt Powell, specializing in the sports industry which found that in America the favorite brand for sportswear shoes is Nike. The American giant dominates 90 percent of the sports shoe market with a turnover that reached around $25 billion in 2013 (+47% compared to 2009). Following Nike in the game are Adidas and Under Armour – a company founded in 1996 and specializing in sportswear.

What makes sneakers so desirable? Certainly the fact that they have crossed over from the world of sports to fully enter the world of fashion, no longer just for leisure time, for some time sneakers have received a style upgrade: they are worn at all times of the day and even on the red carpet. Not to mention the countless collaborations that sports brands make with various icons from the world of music, fashion, sports, and so on.
