The Nike Dunk Low Vintage Navy are the new sneakers that combine vintage charm with modern taste

About six months ago we got a first look at the Nike Dunk Low Vintage Navy. Sneakers designed to look like they came out of the vault of the American giant of sportswear, which has finally confirmed a release date, much earlier than we would have expected.

Inspired by the design of Pandas, of which all the inhabitants of the planet never seem to have enough, these Dunk Low are made of leather. On a completely white base, dark blue panels overlap from the toe to the collar and lacing system. The swoosh runs on the sides in the lateral and medial areas, while the Nike brand is embossed on the tongue and on the heel.

Naturally, it wouldn’t be the Vintage Navy without some retro-inspired details. Not only have the laces been pre-yellowed, but the same patina also appears on the rubber midsole. If one didn’t know the reality of the Nike project, they could easily think they were in front of an original pair of shoes from the past.

While most sneaker enthusiasts speculate that the hype around the Dunks is about to end, perhaps it’s just beginning. Next year, the old school silhouette turns 40. To celebrate this milestone, Nike will release some of its best-selling colorways, including Brazil and Plum. In the coming weeks, other important collaborations will also arrive, thanks to Born x Raised, Supreme, and the famous professional skater Yuto Horigome.
