The Nike Air Max Scorpion is the revolutionary sneaker of the new Air generation

After months of rumors, the long-awaited Nike Air Max Scorpion finally becomes a reality. The new Nike sneakers have a big surprise: they are the first ones to feature the latest generation Air midsole, undoubtedly one of the most important technological advances in the brand’s history with the iconic swoosh.
The Nike Air Max Scorpion is created entirely during the pandemic by Nike designers, engineers, and specialists who experimented with an innovative method of virtual collaboration. The shoe, developed over 18 months, is a milestone in the digital transformation phase of the sportswear giant.

The product belongs to Nike’s most important series, the Air Max. All models worthy of this renowned name must be comfortable, futuristic, and have some groundbreaking features. The brand-new sneaker fully meets all the necessary requirements.

The Nike Air Max Scorpion takes design cues from the Nike Air VaporMax with a Flyknit upper made from a single piece capable of expressing a variety of textures. Completing the profile are the functional Flywire reinforcement, heel tabs, and stitched swooshes. Enhancing the footwear are the full-length Air Max sole units, described as using compressed air to provide “the maximum comfort possible today.”

Without a doubt, the model’s highlight is the spectacular sole that not only covers the entire bottom of the shoe but also increases its height. The exact measurements have not been specified, but it could be an increase of about two centimeters in the heel area, a true support that will surely enhance the comfort of the wearer… and their self-esteem, as it makes them look taller.

The computational design, experimented by Nike for industrial applications, created the optimal traction pattern applied in the creation of the midsole of the Air Max Scorpion. Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation has developed more than 14 sets of tools capable of providing the maximum amount of air in terms of graduated pressure and weight per square centimeter in all sizes. The transition from simple tubular sections to complex and radial geometries offers a dynamic experience under the foot and consistent cushioning throughout the day. Those who wear the sneaker will fully appreciate the positive effects of its revolutionary structure on their movement with every step.

Furthermore, the piston effect of strategic contact points between the foot and the airbag is aided by a unique Flyknit chenille upper. The shorter fibers, with 20% recycled content by weight, used in the upper are arranged perpendicular from two twisted vertical yarns inside the core of the structure to achieve an exclusive soft furry texture.

Nike continues to expand its extensive range of models and is gearing up to add the new Air Max Scorpion model, which will be another sneaker designed to provide greater comfort. The collection, always classic, has seen a multitude of developments, with its silhouettes receiving updates like the Air Max 1 Golf treated with synthetic “Tiger” fur, the rumored Stussy x Nike Air Max Penny 5 possibly on the horizon, and the Air Max ’97 featuring a “Silver Bullet” color combination.
