Kim Jones never has enough of sneakers, and neither do we. So after cheering for the Dior x Air Jordan 1, one of the most successful sneaker collaborations of the year, here comes the French luxury house ready to surprise everyone again, with the release of the new B27, an expression of the sporty spirit dear to Dior Homme creative director. The inspirations come as much from the vintage style of the ’80s as from the skate universe and together they design a shoe, in high or low version, with a modern, sporty yet refined line. Available in white, black, and grey, a subtle homage to Monsieur Dior’s favorite color, the new sneakers feature a multilayered play of different materials that combine together: calfskin, nubuck and the famous Dior-Oblique pattern, which had already been used all over the B23 model, while here it is just hinted at.
The B27 exalts Dior’s creative boldness by merging it with the tradition of leather craftsmanship, from stitching to the dyed edges; every phase of the production process encloses the exceptional skill passed down by the petites mains of the Maison’s Italian workshops. Result of a meticulously executed realization, the shoe inserts are combined and layered to create a unique three-dimensional effect.
Notice the eyelets of the laces, forming the CD logo, while the house’s name is embossed on the heel and inscribed on the sole.
When can we wear them? The wait is almost over. They will arrive in boutiques next November. You’ve been warned!
