With the Grey Day event, New Balance paid tribute to one of its most iconic silhouettes, the 574, which for over 30 years has remained true to itself. A sneaker that is sporty and classic at the same time, never swayed by trends and becoming a true icon. A model for both men and women that has crossed generations without losing its authentic and independent spirit. In Milan, the ‘Grey Day Event’ took place at Cross+Studio with a setup designed as a true urban journey in line with New Balance’s style: posters, signs, and large writings guided participants from the entrance, transporting them into a metropolitan dimension that pervaded the space alongside them.
Among industrial scaffolding and fluorescent lights, the NB brand logo led to a large room with a New York character, where participants discovered the New Balance 574 Grey through its exhibition and some artworks. To interpret the iconic 574 Grey, artists Pietro Mazza, Patrick Eduardo, and Domenico Formichetti were chosen, who created canvas works depicting the brand’s iconic ‘N’ through their artistic vision. The evening, animated by the DJ set of Milangeles and Bernardo Fibrosi, featured Calcutta as a special guest.
