New month, new sneakers. It’s springtime and April proves to be a fruitful period for new releases and special launches. Among fashion-forward releases, iconic reeditions, and long-awaited drops, here are the kicks to refresh your spring wardrobe.
Saucony Originals
Draws inspiration from vintage-style windbreakers used in the ’90s to protect against windy days with powerful waves, the new GRID AZURA 2000 embodies the first drop of Saucony’s Changing Tides pack. The kinetic energy of the constant ebb and flow of tides seems to shape the upper of these sneakers with a striking design, tinted in tropical and aquatic hues. Overlays, color play, and textural contrasts define this model, which opts for premium suede and nylon construction. A deliberately neo-retro version that blends style and innovation thanks to meticulous design and artisanal detailing.

Maison Margiela x Reebok
Maison Margiela and Reebok return, a duo that successfully merges their seemingly distant codes. They do so with a new installment of their enduring collaboration, focusing on the Classic Leather Memory Of and Club C Memory Of models. The former reveals the hidden construction of the sneaker using a décortiqué method, a process of perforating the upper that keeps the stitching secure, allowing the felt lining to be visible and the protective heel to be removed, revealing the heel cap. In the latter model, the same procedure is applied, uncovering the silver pen marks used by craftsmen in the shoe’s construction. Both are built with Premium Leather and EVA sole, featuring a scissors-cut label merging the logos of both brands.

Featuring an oversized runner sole, large flat laces, cushioned heel, and available in various colorways: classic with entirely white or black uppers, in white and black leather and ivory canvas, blue, and flamboyant red satin twill, the standout colorway. Balenciaga
Artistic bonus track themed on sneakers: The Runner Sculpture model is part of the Balenciaga Objects impromptu collection, a series of objects produced by the French fashion house outside the fashion collection calendar. Launching on April 5, it represents a limited edition trainer-artwork, made in only 20 pieces, revisiting the Runner Sneaker, a patchwork of athletic and DIY references introduced in 2021, as a life-sized, fully handmade glazed ceramic sculpture. Each unit has been sculpted and shaped by hand, fired, then painted to modify the subtle colorations of a worn shoe using a traditional Italian maiolica hand-painting technique, then fired again. The Runner Sculpture, in its metaphorical fixity, testifies to the Runner’s attention to signs of wear and movement codes, such as layered sports textures, frayed fabric edges, visible stitching, and technically intentional adhesive labels.
