The most iconic adidas Y-3 sneakers ever are back on sale, 20 years later

In 2022 Y-3 celebrates 20 years of history and to commemorate such an important date, the joint venture between the German brand and the Japanese genius Yohji Yamamoto has decided to reintroduce one of its most iconic models, the Qasa High sneakers. Even today, this silhouette remains one of the brand’s greatest successes. Introduced for the first time in 2013, it has had a long and fruitful journey: its futuristic shapes have captured the hearts of sneakerheads, while the monochromatic and minimalist look has made it the favorite shoe among fans of black.

After an absence from the market dating back to around 2017, the Y-3 Qasa High are finally back in their original all-black colorway. This model echoes much of Yamamoto’s genius in pushing the boundaries of design, both in appearance and construction. One of the most distinctive features of the model is the EVA sole, inspired by the running technology of the adidas Tubular from the 90s. Other distinctive aspects include the neoprene upper of Qasa, elastic front straps, leather toe cap, and a soft heel lining. To ensure comfort and provide proper cushioning, the shoe is made with a high-performance insole Poron®.
