Comfortable, soft, and starting this season, also an excellent alternative to crewneck sweaters. The sweatshirt is becoming more and more of a chic garment, not just sporty. In fact, it is no longer worn exclusively at the gym or for outdoor jogging. And, above all, it is no longer exclusively worn on the weekend, when any combination is allowed. It has become, in all respects, a key player in the male wardrobe, both for the workday and for the evening, at a happy hour with friends.

What is the trendiest model this season, AI 2015/16? It is the one that was in vogue in the 1980s, mainly in America. Made of cotton, hoodless, in solid color or at most with some bold lettering in contrast on the chest, and with cuffs and waistband, the sweatshirt was one of the iconic garments of an entire generation. It was worn with rigid blue jeans, terrycloth socks, and high white sneakers. Today, this model is making a comeback on the famous brands’ runways.
