A rain of sneakers is expected for this June, the only one we are willing to tolerate now that summer is officially approaching. Between vitaminic hues, fashion debuts, and iconic reissues, the month is full of launches not to be missed. Here’s what we have selected for you not to miss out on to start the summer season on the right foot.
New Balance
Redesigning historical models with a sustainable footprint is among the missions that New Balance is successfully carrying out. The American brand has launched the new MADE Responsibly 998 series, which is the green reissue of the legendary 998 model. A limited edition made from production waste and virgin materials, which each time leads to the creation of a unique and unreplicable product. The surplus materials concern almost the entirety of the sneaker, such as pigskin linings, mesh, lining, laces, speedlace, collar straps, and sole. Available in a palette of vibrant and impactful colors.
Saucony Performance
Robust look, vitaminic upper, extreme cushioning, and explosive grip for the new Saucony Performance Xodus11 trainers designed for off-road adventures. The flagship of the Trail collection is designed to grind miles and tackle even the most rugged terrains. The PWRRUN+ cushioning system ensures flexibility, longevity, and elasticity by reducing impacts, while the PWRTRAC rubber sole features multidirectional grooves that enhance ground grip. The engineered mesh shell is breathable and enveloping, with gaiters and elastic loops for lace protection.
JW Anderson
After years of collaborations with other sneaker brands, JW Anderson has finally decided to launch the first model under its own brand. The British designer does it, of course, in his style, by deconstructing the sneaker concept and turning it into a small work of art. Exaggerated proportions, absolute monochrome, and a purposely reassembled leather and canvas upper. What makes it unmistakable is the thick contrasting sole, referencing the stacked brogue beloved by the designer.
Converse x Keith Haring
For the very first time, Keith Haring’s unmistakable graphics are stylized on Converse’s most iconic footwear: the Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, Pro Leather, as well as the Run Star Hike become canvases to imprint the black and white designs of the unforgettable New York artist, who has become a symbol of rebellion and free expression for an entire generation. Special feature: the Chuck 70 can also be personalized through Converse By You, the brand’s product customization platform, allowing you to create a true one-of-a-kind piece.
Lanvin + Josué Thomas
Lanvin has launched an exclusive collaboration with Josué Thomas, artist and founder of Gallery Department. The creative mind behind the Los Angeles brand has reinterpreted some of the most representative pieces of the French maison, including the Clay, Curb, and BumpR sneakers. In the limited edition, the uppers have been enriched with multicolored paint splatters and zig-zag laces. True wearable art pieces.
