Sneakers, reissues not to be missed

If the fashion of the last seasons looks to the past, the new sneakers from the big sports brands are just as inspiring. Reissues of iconic sneaker models launched in the last century and now very trendy are highly sought after by enthusiasts. Especially when it comes to limited editions. For example, we have the Asics GEL-DS TRAINER OG – the first model was launched in 1995 – created in collaboration with the fashion brand Vivienne Westwood, made of mesh in primary colors accentuated by the contrast with black suede details and ASICS logo in reflective fabric. The real peculiarity, though, is linked to the inner sole where the romantic and rococo painting ‘Daphne and Chloe’ by the French artist François Boucher is displayed. Another limited edition is the Puma Roma X Tyakasha, a streetwear brand based in Shanghai, enriched with versatile and captivating prints and designs. The new sneaker Converse Lucky Star High Top is a new version of the iconic original model from ’69 while the Superga model you see in the gallery was originally designed as a training shoe for the Italian Army in the last century. The most avid collectors will not miss out on the Adidas Originals model that is part of the new Home of Classics collection which includes ten timeless silhouettes. The Nizza Hi RF sports a surface in precious leather on a high-top basketball design: launched in 1975, the shoe was soon adopted by the skating community. The Bally footwear, on the other hand, is a replica of the shoe worn by tennis player Jakob Hlasek; updated in materials, it includes an EVA sole for optimal comfort and a perforated upper to ensure foot breathability. The AW19 collection includes new pop colors, in leather or with a “gum effect” in total black version. This collection also features some models that cover the ankle, in soft white or green nappa. The New Balance 997H sneakers are colorful and fun, reminiscent of the model launched in 1991: the design of the new sneakers offers further evolution thanks to the GCEVA technology that provides a modernized sole and a lighter fit. The shoe has a synthetic leather upper and incorporates some details of its predecessor such as the embossed border on the tongue and foot collar, suede and mesh details, and some synthetic and leather particulars. Just released a few days ago and already highly sought after, we’re talking about the Air Jordan 3 ‘Knicks’ by Nike – the basketball champion wore them on April 8, 1988, when he led the Chicago Bulls to victory against the New York Knicks – now reissued with new sought-after details. Finally, two models that have made history: the Reebok Club C 85 Vintage, launched in 1985 to be the most performing sneakers on the tennis court but soon becoming an iconic model also off the playing field, and the Vans Old Skool, classic skate shoes and the first model to feature the iconic side stripe, here in Primary Check version, with an upper in sturdy suede and canvas with checkerboard pattern.
