New month, new sneakers. Here we are to take stock of the coolest sneakers in circulation with new releases, cult reissues, and evergreens. The arrival of spring gives a boost to the new proposals and also to our desire for a refresh of looks and wardrobes. Here are GQ’s picks for the month of April.
adidas ZX 2K Boost x AW LAB
Among the various proposals that can be found in the Spring Break selection at AW LAB, the adidas ZX 2K Boost stand out: a neo retro design inspired by technical running models of the ’80s, with a contemporary twist. They feature a Boost sole with a semi-transparent insert for maximum cushioning and lightness, and are recognizable by the contrasting adidas logo on the fluorescent orange sole. The TPU and reinforced mesh upper provide maximum stability, with a triple reflective stripe.

Saucony Originals Jazz Court textile
An iconic model retrieved directly from the archives, the Saucony Originals Jazz Court, is now covered in a new textile version. Originally a tribute to the great classic tennis shoe, this best-selling shoe from the American brand is now covered in felt wool chosen for the reinforcement on the heel, a clear reference to tennis balls with their soft yet durable surface. For the men’s version, the color options include dark blue, pine green, chili pepper red, and cement grey.

Givenchy GIV 1
The highly anticipated model that combines luxury and performance is the first designed by Matthew M. Williams, the new Creative Director of Givenchy since June 2020. The GIV 1 line features an aerodynamic design with a strong graphic impact, including a series of unisex sneakers made from a mix of technical fabric and mesh, with embroidered details and injected TPU on the calfskin leather uppers. The lightweight soles are made unique by the 360° transparency, which in some versions emit a green-gold sheen, while in others they have a glossy black finish. The soles showcase 108 injection points reproducing the 4G emblem of the French Maison in relief.

Moaconcept Master Legacy
The Master Legacy is one of the most interesting novelties in the summer collection from the Florentine brand. A silhouette intentionally reminiscent of the ’80s, produced through high-end manufacturing entirely in premium leather. Some variants feature nylon inserts and suede details giving a textural aspect to the shoe. Recognizable by the inverted and profiled M, it is offered in classic versions with all white and black uppers with a rock and gritty attitude, as well as in new pastel colors like sand, ice, and sugar paper.
