Sales are almost over, and the new winter collections are hitting the stores. To get ahead on our winter wardrobe, sneakers are an absolute must-have even in winter. Which ones to choose? Below is our selection. Let’s start with Tom Ford, who introduces for the first time within his extra luxury tailoring world four different sneaker alternatives, including one in red velvet. Kris Van Assche, from Dior, embroiders the upper of the shoe with white polka dots on a black leather background, maintaining a minimal line. Raf Simons for Adidas and Dolce&Gabbana instead opt for a mix and match of fabrics and bright, sometimes iridescent colors. For lovers of the all-white sneaker, the search will be tough, total white is almost banned, Givenchy, Valentino, and Gucci “dirty” the sneaker by inserting cuts or decorative elements in colored leather. Black is the favorite color of Saint Laurent (which decorates the sneaker with very grungy studs and buckles) and Michael Kors, who uses a lacquered crocodile print to add more brightness to the shoe.
