Fall has officially arrived, new fresh sneakers are needed to update your wardrobe and make it cool. The novelties certainly do not lack, ranging with agility between iconic reissues and super stylish collaborations. Ready to discover them?
Out of Office OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh™
Everything Virgil Abloh touches seems to turn to gold, like a modern King Midas. The latest cult object designed by the streetwear prodigy is the Out of Office sneakers, inspired by late ’80s and early ’90s tennis shoes. In this model, Off-White’s unmistakable logo arrows are flipped and pointed forward on the side of the upper, while the laces are stamped with the word Shoelaces in Helvetica. Gel midsole, leather inserts, and 4 color variations: light brown, red, green, and blue.
Gel-Kayano 26 Asics x Vivienne Westwood
After the first release of five limited edition sneakers, ASICS and the volcanic English designer Vivienne Westwood have joined forces once again to launch the GEL-KAYANO™ 26. The trainers made their debut during the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Fall/Winter 2020 fashion show and are available in minimal white or black variants. This model is inspired by the original Sack Shoes, shoes with straps and laces inspired by primitive tribes presented by the designer in the Nostalgia of Mud or Buffalo Fall/Winter 1982/83 collections. A nostalgic touch brought up to date by the semi-transparent mesh upper that covers and reveals the underlying shell, by the FLYTEFOAM™ midsole combined with GEL technology in the sole and the I.G.S™ (Impact Guidance System) support system composed of the DYNAMIC DUOMAX™ system. The original double-layer mesh has been replaced by tear-resistant Ripstop nylon and the laces simplified by an elastic structure for an easy-on fit.
New Balance 920
A new addition to New Balance’s practically endless range: the Boston-based brand introduces the 920, a new silhouette belonging to the premium Made in UK line. Made in the Flimby, Cumbria factory, it is built inspired by the classic 900 and 1000 series, the brand’s best sellers. The release features a mesh and pigskin upper mounted on an ENCAP technology sole. Completing the ensemble is the eye-catching reflective effect N on the side.
Jazz Peak Saucony Originals
The new Saucony sneaker, Jazz Peak, takes inspiration from climbing shoes and moves in perfect balance between a technical and a fashionista model. The nylon and nubuck structure with a rubber coating pairs with a shearling lining, perfect for keeping the foot warm when temperatures drop. A sneaker designed to be durable, robust, and enveloping, with a high level of comfort during walking. Available in 4 eye-catching unisex color variations, with embossed reflective pull tabs and side grooved stripes.
Ralph Sampson by Puma x Replay
What happens when Puma’s iconic Ralph Sampson sneaker goes through Replay’s hands? Originally designed in the ’80s by the basketball legend it is named after, the Ralph Sampson by Puma sneaker features a medium height structure and an intentionally neo retro design. Made in a limited edition, this model integrates denim, Replay’s fabric of choice, treated with ECO-washing systems that give a used look to the canvas but without harmful impacts on the environment. In particular, these sneakers have been worked with Ecostone, a type of stone with an abrasive power similar to pumice, but leaves no residue, minimizing water usage and rinses. Just like the brand’s jeans, the shoes are hand-finished with abrasions and dyed with natural pigments.
