Until today, wearing a pair of Saucony sneakers meant wearing a piece of American history. And the reason for this has been told many times, the brand was born at the end of the 19th century in a small artisan workshop on the banks of the Saucony river in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, and immediately specialized in technical sports shoes, running shoes to be exact. Exactly one hundred years after the birth of the brand, in 1998, the Saucony Originals line was created, to reinterpret the brand’s DNA in a contemporary way. An example of this is the Shadow 5000 Made in Italy model, the latest model released to date. For the first time, it has been made with some of the best Italian manufacturers and using high-quality materials locally sourced. Mesh and soft premium suede, as well as the Saucony logo and the “Made in Italy” inscription, both imprinted on the tongue area and the insole, are the protagonists of this new release produced in Italy by Tuscan artisans. The gray and blue colorway, both characterized by the presence of white laces, share space within the collection with two other versions where the mesh and suede are colored in orange, green, light blue, and dark blue. The shoe is already on sale on the Saucony website.
