When he’s not going big, like wearing a Dior outfit in the Egyptian desert (what else?), or transforming into Batman with Jil Sander outerwear, Robert Pattinson has a decidedly understated wardrobe: loose jeans, plaid shirts, and frayed hems. Basically, comfy clothing that we all love. And let’s not forget about his favorite sneaker. In an interview with AllInReplica in 2020, Robert Pattinson talked about his passion for adidas x Palace Skateboards, still considered a great sneaker classic to this day. “New ones come out about every eight months. Once a pair was stolen from me, then I saw them on eBay and couldn’t resist because I wanted to have them right away. Yes, I know I bought them back from a thief,” Pattinson confessed. “I set alerts for every pair of adidas x Palace for sale on eBay. Soon they’ll all be mine.”

It may seem like an exaggeration, but he’s not kidding. It’s rare to see him in different shoes, a model that literally flies off the shelves right after each release. We’ve admired him in the black and mandarin orange Palace Gazelle, the black Chewy Cannons with white and fluorescent green soles, and the white and black Gazelle Pro Skate Indoor. That’s why we weren’t surprised to see him on Christmas and then again the day after New Year’s, with another pair of his favorite shoes. Photographed both times upon his arrival at New York’s JFK airport, he was wearing adidas x Palace Pro white and black in the Primeknit version that adapts to the foot by stretching with each step.
