A new DUNK LOW on the horizon is not breaking news. Despite a plethora of versions, this streetwear icon has always been in the spotlight, now for almost two years in our headlines. The Swoosh has created this new version to celebrate the production cycle and the materials that have inspired certain choices and their role in the brand’s history.
The Nike Dunk Low “City Market” boasts a patchwork upper that combines various graphics, materials, and colors that merge the brand’s Blue Ribbon Sports roots, as well as referencing the industrial bags of rice and coffee that are often recycled by city markets for a wide range of uses, following the recycling necessity in Nike’s production philosophy. On the tongue, a small zippered compartment recalls reusable shopping bags, while the top tag resembles a nutritional label.
