REEBOK PROJECT 0 CC TL CLUB TROMP LEOIL x MAISON MARGIELA

The latest chapter of the collaboration that started in 2020 between Reebok and the French fashion house arrives in stores worldwide.

Margiela and Reebok announce the release of the Club C Maison Margiela, a new sneaker coming out on March 24 as part of the latest collaboration drop. Drawing on John Galliano’s creative codes, the sneaker embodies the distinctive features of the French house through one of Reebok’s most recognizable models.

The latest chapter of the collaboration blends innovation and nostalgia, at that common point where fashion meets functionality in a timeless contemporary design. Originally launched in 1985 as a tennis shoe, it has crossed the territories of sports and fashion and is one of Reebok’s most iconic silhouettes. What sets this version apart is a special manufacturing technique, the trompe l’oeil, a technique that involves the upper, constructed from a single piece of flat die-cut leather, made and then printed with a 3D-scanned image of the original Club C. The effect mimics every point, curve, and shadow of the original surface, achieving a kind of 2-D optical illusion obtained from this innovative construction.

The Club C Tromp L’oeil x Maison Margiela is available from March 23 in white or black at a price tag of around €250 at top sneaker stores and on the official Margiela website.
