There is Italian sports, all of it, which is experiencing a golden period, and there is Pitti Uomo fashion that has always been an important showcase to understand where the sector is heading. The two worlds have built a dialogue, contaminating each other for some time, and continue to talk to each other also for the next spring/summer. For example, for its first time at Pitti Uomo, the Italian brand Robe di Kappa proudly draws inspiration from the Nineties and that preppy taste, born in the New England colleges in the United States. It is the taste of the “good guys” 4.0, those who choose polo shirts – timeless pieces – and prefer clean and contemporary-cut sweatshirts and sweaters, declined in a special Aran stitch or honeycomb pattern, and offered in a variety of bright colors for the beautiful season: yellow, purple, teal, amaranth, cream. The past and the present blend in the collection of clothing and backpacks (of course) by Invicta, the historic Italian company that, after more than a century, continues to evolve while remaining true to its origins.

Exclusivity, responsibility, and performance are, instead, the values that guide the collaboration between Maserati and North Sails Apparel, who together launch a capsule collection composed of a selection of products made from future-oriented materials, from organic and recycled cotton to high-performance Gore-Tex Infinium. Capsules and the nineties are also discussed in the Pierre-Louis Mascia collection, who, on the occasion of Pitti Uomo, presented a shoe with Diadora, the historical brand whose silhouettes have shaped the history of style and sport in the 80s and 90s. Also, Fessura, on the occasion of Pitti Uomo, has signed a licensing agreement with Fiat for a small collab. The result is the new Runflex 500. A sports shoe for running and leisure. The territory of urban styles, sensitive to the passion for the outdoors and the performance of materials, is a bit of a connecting thread for Paul&Shark, which with its Typhoon jacket – the flagship of the next season – manages to give a sporty garment by birth a daily use declination. Made with old disused sails, recovered and rethought as unique objects of style and design, the jacket also becomes a tribute to circularity and upcycling. A theme in which Ecoalf excels, a sustainable native, which through a partnership with The Loop integrates the most advanced technology and zero-waste philosophy to create a collection of 100% recycled cotton that will be reused to create other collections. Freedom and comfort become mantras to be translated into innovative designs and technologically inspired garments, as seen in Herno, who thinks about the theme of travel and reversible pieces with trench coats and raincoats, car coats and blazers, field jackets and shirt-jackets. Vibram also thinks about travel and, drawing on the ancient Japanese art of origami, the Varese-based company suggests a foldable shoe with a three-dimensional design, ideal to always carry with you. Love not war with Red’s organic cotton socks, sending a message of peace and solidarity while confirming the trend.
