The Pensole Academy continues to be the most interesting creative forge in the sneaker industry at the moment.

Founded in 2010 by D’Wayne Edwards, the footwear design course has expanded to the best schools, universities, and art centers across America. In conjunction with the “Fueling the Future of Footwear Master Class” in collaboration with Foot Locker, students were able to receive a sort of mentorship and access to New Balance’s headquarters. Among the various projects, one of them is a new colorway of the NB327 that will be released this week.

The technique used is a sort of multicolored chromatic mash-up that uses a classic combination of dark blue nylon and aqua-colored suede on the side panels. Wave-like embroideries are highlighted on the edges, a kind of deconstruction of design and color.

The triple collaboration between Foot Locker and Pensole x New Balance should be available in Europe starting from December 4, 2020.
