The FILA Town, designed by Wood Wood, draws inspiration from classic tennis shoes of the ’70s with nods to the era’s vintage design.
The FILA crest on the tennis court is something legendary. Björn Borg wore many of the brand’s silhouettes as the main athlete in the ’70s and ’80s and today’s current world number one, Ashleigh Barty, is one of the stars who play in the apparel of the iconic Italian brand.
FILA, with a top-tier archive in hand, goes back to its roots and rewinds the clocks to the early ’90s, collaborating with the Danish fashion brand Wood Wood to revive the Town Classic, a tennis shoe rich in history and achievements. Wood Wood, for the first time since 1992, brings back a classic from the brand with a sporty yet elegant mix, adding a few details to the all-leather upper. The chosen colorway is the classic off-white, a look that pays homage to the past, mixing sturdy stitched panels with subtle perforations for breathability. Below, an off-white EVA midsole and a rubber outsole come together to create a truly clean and intriguing vintage look & feel.
