From Japan to Italy: Mizuno has just launched a new limited edition collaboration with the Milanese streetwear store One Block Down. The stars of the show are the Wave Rider 10. The inspiration for these sneakers came from the sun and its waves of heat: if the sun is an important symbol for Japan, the flame is instead a symbol of speed, a characteristic that all runners aspire to possess, and highlights Mizuno’s great tradition in the world of running.

For this collaboration, Mizuno’s Wave Rider 10 features its classic sole but sports a redesigned upper boasting intricate flame-shaped details in anodized material, visible from every angle. Reflective elements and the custom flame sole branding on the heel complete the picture. Mizuno’s logo and the One Block Down branding are also present on the shoe’s tongue. Three different color options are available: Onyx (black), Koi (red), and Amazon (green).
