Nike SB Dunk Low Bart Simpson: the third model in The Simpsons series
In January 2022, rumors began circulating about the imminent release of a new Nike SB Dunk Low model inspired by the character of Bart Simpson, the eldest son of the famous family from the animated sitcom created by Matt Groening. As announced by Nike through a press release, the new sneaker joins the Dunk Homer Low released in 2004 and the Marge High from 2008. Bart deserved his own model much earlier than his two parents, considering he’s always cruising around on his skateboard.
Although none of the shoes in question bear the official trademark of the iconic yellow family of Springfield or of one of its characters, the SB Dunks series inspired by The Simpsons is enjoying great popularity and, according to the specialized magazine Sneaker-Magazin, is among the most sought after online. After Bart, the two daughters Lisa and Maggie are still waiting for the honor of being commemorated with their own dedicated sneakers. Therefore, we can safely say that there seems to be no end in sight for the Dunk Low line inspired by The Simpsons.
The design of Nike’s SB Dunk Low Bart Simpson
The color scheme of the latest Simpson’s sneaker follows the footsteps of the two previous versions of Homer and Marge, mirroring the shades of their respective characters. The name given to the model reflects the connection between Bart’s skin and clothing colors and the color blocking of the upper available in a lively trio of hues: yellow, orange, and blue. The white Swoosh represents Bart’s socks and shoe soles, not to mention the color of his eyes. The bright green insole is a clear reference to his beloved mode of transportation: the skateboard.
Price and release date
There is no exact release date yet. According to the online magazine Sneaker News, the Nike SB Dunk Low Bart Simpson should be released in the coming weeks. The price has not been set yet, but it will likely be around 90 euros, just like the other Simpson models.
Nike Zoom Freak 3 x UNO: the iconic card game celebrates 50 years!
The SB Dunk Low Bart Simpson is not the only Nike sneaker causing a stir today thanks to an exciting tribute to one of our childhood symbols. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic card game UNO, the well-known sports footwear, apparel, and accessories brand will be releasing a special edition of the Nike Zoom Freak 3 by the end of February 2022, alongside the star player of the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo. The sneaker will feature the typical UNO colors: yellow, red, blue, green, and black. Various UNO logos and Antetokounmpo’s initials will be present on the tongues and insoles, with a retail price of around 106 euros.
