360-degree comfort. Because “the shoe we wear all day should essentially be a glove that fits our feet.” This is the claim by Dylan Raacsh, lead designer of the very latest Nike Roshe Two Flyknit sneakers, available from September, and made according to three very specific characteristics.

The first is the footbed comfort, a combination of stability, support, and cushioning born from research at the NSRL (Nike Sports Research Laboratory). “The insoles were initially used to cover the stitching in the back of the shoe,” explains Raasch. “Now they form the first layer of a cushioning system,” combining the double-density memory foam of the insole with an innovative outsole that has been hollowed out in some places to improve flexibility and allow each part to move independently.

The second is the upper comfort, a contoured and dynamic fit, thanks to the use of technical materials. The Nike Roshe Two features a minimal upper that flexibly conforms to the shape of the wearer’s foot, and an additional foam layer that cushions impacts.

Finally, the last characteristic: the long-lasting comfort, i.e., the shoe’s ability to anticipate physiological changes in the foot throughout the day while wearing the same pair of sneakers. How? By providing elasticity and breathability in the upper to counteract sweat and swelling, ensuring ideal support in the footbed.
