Nike and LeBron James present the new Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen

The relationship between LeBron James and Nike is a long-lasting love story that is meant to endure. In fact, in 2015, the famous basketball player and the brand signed a lifetime contract, the biggest deal in sports media history. The two collaborators, now bound forever, are full of imagination. After unveiling the XX LeBron in September to celebrate their twenty years of collaboration, Nike and LeBron James have introduced the Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen, a special version of the Nike LeBron 20. The two multicolored shoes have two distinct designs. One opts for blue, the other goes for orange, while the laces are colored in the opposite tone of the upper, which is made of mesh and features a black leather Swoosh. Another mini bright pink swoosh appears on the side, matched with the tongue lining branded with the logo of the brand and the initials of the Los Angeles Lakers star. The “NXXT” inscription on the insoles and a thick black midsole complete the look.

For the new generation

Basketball once again pays tribute to the basketball player’s career, but this time it is aimed primarily at the new generation. The label “Nxxt” (a play on words containing the “20” in Roman numerals) is inspired by young players like LeBron’s sons, spotted wearing the XX on their feet. “When we designed the shoe, we took this direction seriously. We had in mind players like LeBron’s sons, Bronny and Bryce. We wanted to get into their heads and find out what young players were looking for,” said Jason Petrie, designer of the model and the entire LeBron line.

The Nike Zoom LeBron NXXT Gen sneaker will be available starting February 10 on the Nike website and at selected retailers for $160.
