NEW BALANCE OFFERS A DEDICATED COLLECTION AND NEW CHARITY INITIATIVES FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2021.
The new collection from the Massachusetts-based brand features unique tones of the 574 and 990 inspired by a central institution in the black community: the church. Purple represents the focal point of the collection’s design, drawing inspiration from the tunics worn by many gospel choirs every Sunday. In addition to footwear, the collection includes a line of clothing consisting of hoodies and t-shirts, all featuring the ‘My Story Matters’ inscription on the chest and back.
Two of New Balance’s main ambassadors, actor, musician, and activist Jaden Smith and tennis phenomenon Coco Gauff, are featured in the campaign’s creativity, alongside New Balance, leading with a purpose and letting the voices within their family be heard.
Starting from Monday, February 15, the clothing collection and the ‘My Story Matters’ 990 will be available on www.newbalance.com and throughout the Foot Locker chain. The 574 will be available later at the end of February.
