The official launch of the new sneakers designed by Jaden Smith for New Balance is scheduled for July 24th. In the meantime, the first images of the shoe, the NB Jaden Smith Vision Race, have been released. The design combines the classic style of the American brand with a new, more daring and avant-garde vision inspired by Smith. On the sustainability front, the shoe pushes New Balance towards a leadership role in sustainable footwear. The entire shoe incorporates partially recycled materials and is vegan-friendly. The use of sustainable and vegan materials on the Vision Racer has further driven New Balance’s supply chain and accelerated the brand’s processes in producing more sustainable and vegan-friendly materials.

Sneaker enthusiasts will easily recognize that the new New Balance combines two different models, in this case between the New Balance 1700 and the X-Racer, in a colorway called Wavy Baby Blue. The most striking element of the silhouette is the EVA foam sole, which is chunky and divided into three rectangular blocks. The outsole is adorned with a layer of translucent material featuring the word Vision in the same font used in Smith’s albums SYRE and ERYS. Smith’s signature is reproduced on the inner sole. The NB for Jaden Smith Vision Racer will be globally launched with a suggested price of 150 euros on www.newbalance.com and in selected retail locations.
