Mens slip-on sneakers are more trendy than ever

When style meets practicality. Mens slip-on sneakers are more trendy than ever: slip-on, streamlined footwear in knit, neoprene or other high-performance technical fabrics, or in fine leather, with a high flat white rubber sole. Not to forget the new models with velcro closure, like the one proposed by one of the leading brands of the moment, Veja. The most famous fashion brands for this fall/winter 2019-20 have unleashed their creativity by designing slip-on sneakers for men to match different outfits. Initially, shoes were created for skate enthusiasts, so that the laces wouldn’t get caught in the wheels; later, acknowledging the comfort and practicality offered by this type of sports shoe, more precious materials began to be used instead of canvas, such as nappa leather, suede. And thus came the birth of slip-ons, often embellished with special decorations and details. As for the running world, we talk about highly performing models, usually in mesh, designed to wrap the foot well and provide maximum comfort, as if it were a sock. Shoes so comfortable and practical that after their market launch, they began to be worn even by those who simply enjoy watching sports on television.

Mens sneakers on the catwalk

From the streets to the runways, the leap was short; and here are the sneakers from Givenchy with wide elastic band, the B21 Neo by Dior Homme, in black and green technical fabric with rubber sole and large logo on the front, the patchwork fabric slip-ons by Etro, enriched with leather trims and Paisley pattern on the sole. The running sneaker from Fendi, in black technical fabric with wavy rubber sole, features an adjustable closure with velcro strap and sports buckle. If you love sleek lines, there is the model from Prada, with Sport Knit fabric upper and rubber trims, while the ones from Bottega Veneta, all white, have the distinctive woven pattern on the upper in a maxi version. A sophisticated footwear like the one in soft leather and elasticized fabric, characterized by visible stitching details, signed by Salvatore Ferragamo. Adidas DEERUPT S are instead created mainly for sports enthusiasts, featuring the iconic mesh pattern, with flexible and elasticized mesh upper, comfortable and enveloping.
