The supermarket chain Lidl is ready to launch new sneakers on the market. After the undisputed success, last November, of the first Lidl branded sneakers sold for just over 12 euros, resold for dizzying amounts, sold out in just a few hours, and the subject of an incredible marketing strategy, the sportswear brand Crivit of Lidl Italy tries the «stroke» again, and launches its first collection of sustainable shoes. Which will be available «starting from May 6», as stated in a company note, «in all over 680 store locations of the chain».
The new Crivit Ocean Bound sneakers have been produced with plastic recovered from the oceans, explains the group, within the framework of the «REset Plastic» program, the international strategy for reducing plastic of the Schwarz Group, to limit its use in its packs and packaging. The new Crivit sports shoes are made with 100% recycled plastic: 75% of their textile component, with breathable mesh, comes from conventionally recycled PET bottles, while the remaining 25% uses the so-called «Ocean Bound Plastic», waste plastics collected from beaches, islands or coastal areas, in this case of Asia. For each pair of Crivit shoes, the equivalent of 11 (up to 16) PET plastic bottles has been recovered, recycled and transformed, based on the size.
Available for the whole family, in addition to the men’s model you see above, there are also the women’s and children’s versions, priced at 14.99 euros for adult models and 12.99 euros for children.
