During Milan Fashion Week, La Martina organized the runway show of the Spring/Summer 2024 collection in the beautiful spaces of Chiostro Cappuccio, followed by the presentation of its new sneaker, the Field 85. The show was a fusion of the most characteristic elements of the Argentine brand, starting with a representation of the classic polo uniforms and expanding into the new summer season offerings, all while respecting the mix of sports tradition and urban dynamism that defines La Martina’s aesthetic. Immediately after the runway show, the garden in the center of the cloister hosted some models presented on the catwalk, alongside the main stars of the event, the new unisex sneakers, displayed in glass cases like precious creations and worn by numerous guests and friends of the brand.

Field 85 is the chosen name for La Martina’s new sneakers to evoke the concept of Field of Plenty, conceived by the founder and president, Lando Simonetti. This concept represents the abundance of spirit and happiness, found both on the polo field, a place that perfectly encapsulates the brand’s aesthetic born in Buenos Aires, and beyond the field itself, recalling the symbiotic relationship between man and horse and the excitement before a match. In this context, what truly matters is fair play, the exemplary behavior of the sportsman that combines with the technical skill required in polo. All these values are at the core of the design of these new brand sneakers, inspired by the founding years of La Martina in the mid-80s. The four men’s and two women’s models harken back to the basketball vibes of that period in both low and high versions, blending materials like suede and vegetable leather in softer colors for the male models and brighter tones for the female ones.
