Directly from the Brit Awards, Katy Perry lands in Milan after a flight from London to sit front row at the debut fashion show of her friend Jeremy Scott as the creative director of Moschino.
While Miss Perry keeps photographers and journalists waiting, causing chaos in the tight fashion show schedule, the rest of the world finally gets to discover her new music video, filled with historical references with a pop twist and already defined as a “major motion picture.”

We find ourselves in Memphis, Ancient Egypt (clear nod to the hometown of Juicy J, the rapper featuring in this song). Queen Katy-Patra sits on her throne, welcoming visitors from all over the world and receiving lavish gifts that always leave her dissatisfied.
After a series of punishments inflicted by the queen on her subjects, the story gets more interesting as we are taken inside a strip club where the former Roar panther now delights us with a small pole dance routine.
The colorful and hyper-chromatic atmosphere created by director Mathew Cullen is the signature aesthetic of the California singer’s pop style. Helping to direct this visually striking piece is also Diadora, dressing Katy’s subjects in the iconic Mi Basket 84 model and Katy herself in the new Kim W Lurex sneaker, ensuring a touch of sportiness to the whole scene.
