Kanye West and Adidas Originals present **Yeezy Season 1**, the new universal and timeless clothing and footwear collection. Described by the world’s most famous rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian, as the world’s first “solutions-based” clothing line, it is composed of unique pieces that adapt perfectly to the fast pace of the contemporary world. “I want clothes to help live better,” explains West, “not for clothes to be life. And Adidas is a super-innovative company that has offered me a platform to create and dream.”
The rapper’s collection, presented last winter on the runways of New York Fashion Week, aims to save consumers the daily stress of dressing by creating high-quality essential pieces that can be freely combined endlessly, “like Lego bricks.” For the rap star, this translates into sober, comfortable, and simple clothes “for a contemporary jet-set couple,” suitable for wearing in the gym, in the office, at a meeting, at the airport, and in any other place or situation: “I wanted something that would evoke New York, Paris, Tokyo, Santa Barbara, or Chicago, able to express sophistication and practicality.” Layered on top of each other and worn casually with a certain indifference, the collection’s pieces have all the characteristics of a modern wardrobe.
The **men’s collection** consists of oversized tracksuits with frayed edges and a worn effect, military **Drapey** sweaters characterized by canvas patches and tears, sumptuous bombers, long camouflage parkas with faux fur inserts. For the **footwear collection**, West presents further advancements following the Yeezy 750 and 350 sneakers. The absolute novelty is the **Yeezy 950** boots, perfect for facing the winter cold.
