Just Dropped: Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi

The French house revolutionizes a timeless classic through the introduction of the “split toe,” a hallmark of Galliano.

The tabi are nothing more than traditional Japanese cotton socks that reach ankle height and separate the big toe from the other toes. It was with this concept that in 1988, one of Margiela’s most revolutionary silhouettes was born, largely inspired by the early post-war Onitsuka sports iterations.

The Classic Leather Tabi combines two icons in one. Originally created as a formidable running shoe in 1983, the Classic Leather has become an essential part of casual wardrobes and remains one of Reebok’s most recognizable and beloved models. For this collaboration, the Classic Leather has been completely restructured to accommodate the Tabi’s split-toe.

Two versions: one in nappa leather with a white EVA sole, while the other version is the exact opposite, with an all-black leather upper. A white or black tabi sock is included with each pair of Classic Leather Tabi.

The Classic Leather Tabi will be available from Friday, February 26th on Reebok.it and in selected Maison Margiela boutiques.
