Highsnobiety and Diadora announce the launch of their first collaboration with a capsule collection of four pieces designed for summer 2018. Celebrating Diadora’s 70th anniversary, they offer a new collection inspired by Berlin, which includes the N9002 sneakers, a tracksuit, a pair of sliders, and a beach towel. The collection will be available exclusively on Highsnobiety.com from Thursday, June 28.

The collection designed by Highsnobiety with Hikmet Sugoer takes inspiration from one of Berlin’s most famous landmarks: the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) located in the western part of the city. The designer is proudly Berliner and as a teenager, he spent many hours in the square in front of the old church. The space between the bombed-out church and the neon signs of the Europa Center was a meeting point for hip-hop, breakdance, and skate enthusiasts even before the fall of the Wall. The color palette of the Highsnobiety x Didora collection reflects the historical church: the gray and silver of the stone, gold leaf, copper, and green.

The N9002 is reimagined in premium kangaroo leather and nylon in the upper, enriched with alcantara lining personalized with the Highsnobiety logo printed in gold on the tongue. Inside, the soles depict the Memorial Church. The tracksuit features precious details like reflective silver inserts and embroidered Diadora and Highsnobiety logos in silver. The sliders are based on Diadora’s Serifos 90 design, but have been reworked with a suede upper and tonal Highsnobiety logo. The beach towel offers a new version of the flag of the German capital with the Berlin bear at the center. The collection and the complete campaign will debut at an exclusive event taking place in the magnificent golden interior of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. During the event, gift items such as postcards, stickers, and posters will be available for purchase. The proceeds from the sale of the merchandise will be donated to a charity.
