After nearly three years of rumors and postponements, a new member of the Yeezy lineup is finally making an appearance.
When the adidas Yeezy 450 “Cloud White” first surfaced online in early 2018, they garnered attention from industry insiders for obvious reasons that divided the community’s opinions. Originally named Yeezy 451, the silhouette underwent some changes, not just in the name. Although it took nearly three years to get to a release date, it seems they are finally poised to make their debut soon.
Designed by industry legend Steven Smith, the man behind pioneering models like the Reebok Instapump Fury, the adidas Yeezy 450 is, quite frankly, strange. Starting with a simple Cloud Primeknit upper, the shoe features a unique lacing system. A combination of lace loops and a hole in the top ensure a super sleek shape. Of course, the real point of discussion is the ultra-minimal construction and the bold sole that has not been seen before. It’s worth noting that there are no signs of it being Boost or adiPRENE, which means it could be the same material used on the Foam Runner.
According to some sources, the adidas Yeezy 450 “Cloud White” could potentially drop on March 6th for around 200 euros exclusively on Yeezy Supply.
