Ducati Motor Holding and Fiorentini+Baker join forces for a capsule collection of boots and sneakers. Designed by British designer Deborah Baker, the collection featuring the dual Ducati and Fiorentini+Baker logos is available in six footwear models for men and women: five boots of varying heights and two sneakers. For the creation of this footwear line, Ducati opened its archives to the creative team at Fiorentini+Baker to immerse themselves in the world of the historic Italian motorcycle brand and provide their unique interpretation.
The result is a collection that blends typical motorcycle design details with the vintage vibes that are dear to the shoe brand. “The materials used in the Ducati and Fiorentini+Baker capsule collection are crafted using the classic methods of the company founded in 2001: premium leathers, brushed and greased to enhance their appearance, and traditional artisanal craftsmanship.”
“I have always been drawn to the world of motorcycles because my father was a collector and restorer of vintage motorcycles,” explains Deborah Baker. “Living and working in Bologna, I have always been familiar with the Ducati name and its production of excellent motorcycles, so designing a collection of biker boots was a great milestone and experience for me.” The capsule collection will be presented in Milan on June 22 at the Ex Garage Sanremo (via Fosse Ardeatine) during Men’s Fashion Week.
