The most feared moment for every high school student, the maturity exam, is approaching. The starting whistle will be blown on June 19, the day of the first written test. We will avoid giving you the usual advice like drinking plenty of water, sleeping at least 8 hours per night, taking vitamins, not overdoing the use of caffeine.
First: Get comfortable
Here we will give you some suggestions on what to wear to better support your maturity exam. An eye for your outfit, especially on occasions like this, is a must. The first advice is to choose clothing and accessories that make you feel comfortable. Something you love to wear and that makes you feel comfortable, including your lucky T-shirt or necklace. The second tip is to opt, since we are in summer, for light and breathable clothing, including shoes. Finally, we suggest you think about different looks to wear depending on the test to be taken. For example, for the first three written tests, go for a clean design sweatshirt – like the one from Tommy Hilfiger – a basic T-shirt (like the one from Paolo Pecora) or a short-sleeved cotton polo (such as the one from Stone Island) and lightweight sneakers. Jeans, without too much distress or a heavily used look, like the classic Levi’s, or for staying cooler, chinos like those from Officine Generale, would be ideal, but if the temperature has exceeded thirty degrees, even shorts are okay. Of course, not too short and to be worn with a belt (the one from Gutteridge is made of fabric and leather).
Everything changes for the Oral Exam
For the oral exam, the rules change. Wear a classic shirt, like the one from Xacus, or alternatively a polo – in any case, a garment with a collar and buttons – and avoid large logos and graphics. If you like, you can also wear an unlined and light jacket, like the one from Gant. In front of the committee, you will certainly score extra points. If you can’t do without sneakers, at least choose very simple ones, in neutral colors. In the gallery, you’ll find the iconic Samba model from Adidas. The important thing is that they are clean and not worn out. Alternatively, you can wear a pair of lightweight suede leather shoes; for example, loafers or the classic boat shoe model. Just like the one signed by Lumberjack.
