There are champions who manage to bring together even the most die-hard fans belonging to two different “parishes.” Roberto Baggio is one of them. Not only for his talent and ability, but for his way of being, humble and skillful enough to be considered one of the most legendary (and beloved) football players in our country. In these days, while many of us are reliving the 22-year career of the Italian champion, thanks to the release of the film on Netflix “Il Divin Codino,” Diadora has also decided to celebrate Roberto Baggio, who was the brand’s ambassador throughout his time on the field. In particular, the Veneto sportswear brand pays homage to one of the most iconic moments in modern football with a capsule collection dedicated to the 1994 American World Cup, featuring some of the pieces that accompanied Baggio’s career, including a track jacket, two polo shirts, a pair of socks, and the Intrepid OG shoe, reissued in its 1994 variant.

The track Jacket USA 94 is made contemporary in its polycotton composition and the embroidered Diadora logo and Italian flag patch (replacing the original FIGC emblem). The same patch is also embroidered on the Polo SS USA 94, in technical fabric with an allover print. The Polo SS USA 94 Training reproduces the original print and features embroidered and sublimated Diadora IP logos, as in the OG version. In both polo shirts, the collar and cuffs are knitted with flat jacquard details of the Italian flag, produced by the same supplier as in 1994.

The Intrepid, both in name and in fact, is the running shoe dedicated to speed that has been worn by some of the sport’s greatest champions since the late ’80s when it first appeared in catalog. We find it in this collection in its 1994 version, Intrepid OG, original not only in color combination but also in structure, thanks to the “vibrassorb” inserts and the “impact control” system that maximize the cushioning effect and add excellent support in all foot movements. Premium nylon mesh and soft suede leather are the main features of the upper.
