ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG “BACKSTREETS OF JAPAN”

The streets and lights colors of Japan inspire this new Asics pack.

The iconic GEL-LYTE III has always been a sneaker ahead of its time since it was launched in 1990. With a triple density midsole and split tongue, it has marked a turning point in the design of the Japanese company. However, after the mid-2000s, the silhouette truly reached its peak of popularity, being embraced by enthusiasts globally and transformed into one of the most beloved lifestyle sneakers of the brand.

This latest version, dubbed “Backstreets of Japan“, represents a reimagined vision that takes inspiration from the colors and hues of urban landscapes. From the grey cement of infrastructures to the glow of neon lights from Tokyo ads under the rain, each model portrays a different moment of the day and mood of Japan’s metropolises. Featuring the classic combination of suede and mesh, each model showcases all the distinctive features typical of the Gel Lyte III, including the gel midsole and split tongue.

The Asics Gel-Lyte III OG “Backstreets Of Japan” pack consists of two colorways, IVORY and AQUA ANGEL, and is available in authorized stores today, March 19th, priced at around 119.00 euros.
