Available now: the new collaboration between adidas originals and Chinese designer Angel Chen featuring the superstar 80 and SL 7600.

Angel Chen is a renowned Chinese designer and star of Netflix’s Next In Fashion franchise who is once again teaming up with adidas Originals, following her inaugural collection last year with a trio of timeless classics reimagined.

The Superstar 80 is offered in “Core Black” or “Icey Pink”, combining an all-over suede upper with leather details on the stripes, top buttoning, tongue, and inner lining. The rubber toe blends seamlessly with the exaggerated sole design, the most significant departure from the original version. On the sole, the designer has drawn from that classic-futuristic hybrid mix, where the midsole features tooth-like details, serving as an exclusive design motif. Completing the Superstar are the adidas Trefoil logo on the heel and the embossed tag, both in their respective tonal colors.

For the SL7600, Chen has used a palette of blue and off-white along with pops of neon green and ice blue, as well as a variety of red, resulting in a bold and retro look. The SL7600 features a knitted base supported by leather and suede overlays, with contrast eyelets and detailing on the toe box and oversized “teeth” at the back.

The Angel Chen capsule collection is set to be available across Europe starting from February 24th.
