The London Artist Reinvents Another Precious Sneaker Model from the Golden Era.

Skepta, a Nigerian-origin rapper and DJ, feels right at home with the blessing of the Swoosh and brings back into the spotlight, according to his personal vision, a classic Air Max: the Air Max Tailwind V. After previous collaborations that reinterpreted a series of iconic Air Max designs according to his aesthetics, it’s now the turn of the Tailwind V.

Drawing from the concept of creative rebirth, represented by the butterfly and its metamorphosis, the design conceived by Skepta uses a print depicting butterfly wings sublimated emphasized by a black cage structure throughout the upper, while an iridescent gradient material from purple to blue is used on the tongue and collar featuring a chromed Swoosh in the middle of the foot.

Some details recall the Sk Shox, while the slight iridescence around the heel evokes the thermographic album cover published by Skepta in 2019, Ignorance Is Bliss.
