After those from Lidl, now Zara’s sneakers inspired by Playstation are setting the web on fire

You either love them or hate them. There is no middle ground for the new sneakers by the Spanish fast fashion giant Zara, inspired by PlayStation. Grey in color, with a sock-like upper with prints and details reminiscent of the Sony console, they slide on with front and back pull tabs for easier wearing and have no laces. There’s something in their design, however, that is provoking quite a few reactions on social media: the green on the heel resembles the Xbox console, a major rival of PlayStation. Gamers would have preferred the color blue. However, Zara pays homage to the PlayStation 1 with the main color, grey, and so the green, evoking the light that indicated the PS1 was on. Which was green.

Is that all? No. There is another aspect that doesn’t completely convince the internet users: the Zara sneakers have a rather bulky appearance and not everyone likes that shade of grey. Additionally, on Twitter, someone pointed out that the mentioned sneakers start from size 27 and only go up to size 41, indicating that these trainers are intended for children and not adults. Unfortunately, the sizes from 39 to 41 are sold out. Although not in all markets. Nonetheless, the cost leaves hopeful, in the end convincing even the most hardcore players that with less than 40 euros, they will have sneakers inspired by one of their favorite pastimes.
