No longer just sneakers. For this spring-summer, when it comes to footwear, the keyword is “dare”: premium leather sandals to wear with high socks (Bottega Veneta), ankle boots to pair with rolled-up socks (Versace), monk-strap sandals in nappa leather and suede to wear with oversized long pants (Hermès), and slip-ons in tropical and multicolor patterns (Valentino Garavani) that aim to immediately transport the mind to a seaside holiday.
GQ has selected 50 shoes from the men’s S/S 2016 fashion shows. There are those that will surely become a must-have (even for the upcoming seasons), and those that have been criticized, because, at times, they are too unique and difficult to wear every day, but loved by fashion victims, such as Gucci’s lurex men’s ballet flats and Givenchy’s childhood shoes.
