The Turkish label Manu Atelier celebrates its 10th anniversary

It deserves its place in the Pantheon of iconic bags. Signed by Manu Atelier, the Pristine bag, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Turkish artisanal accessory label, was even recently celebrated at the V&A Museum in London as part of the exhibition Bags: Inside Out (October 2021 to January 16, 2022).

These are all reasons for Manu Atelier, led by the founding sisters Beste Manastir Bagdatli and Merve Manastir since February 2014, to imagine new variations of this coveted object, the first piece created when the brand was launched.

Designed for all women and all styles, the Pristine, a true everyday ally, exudes a sublime minimalist aspect with an ultra-modern adventurer’s pouch-like look… along with its pure and easily recognizable lines that pay tribute to the label’s artisanal craftsmanship.

The Pristine bags reinvent themselves in 2024

Available in mini and monochrome versions – except for the one in white and black vegetable-tanned calf leather and brown Sigaro suede – the new Pristine bags are as practical in the city as they are in the countryside.

Black, cream, brown, white, and khaki… Manu Atelier offers the chance to make this essential wardrobe piece your own in the pure tradition of “less is more”. Because what matters here are the values of craftsmanship that are always in line with the brand’s history.

Indeed, it all began in 1954 when Adnan Manastir, the father of the two founders of the label, emigrated with his family from Macedonia to Istanbul. At just eleven years old, he decided to train as a leather craftsman.

Since then, the two sisters, who grew up in their father’s workshops, have been shining a light on this family story through ultra-portable collections with a sharp aesthetic. This is also evident in the very first collection of ballerinas and Mary Janes recently unveiled…
